Rev. Wayne Davis
Pastor
Wayne Davis became Pastor of EBC in February 2023. He and his wife Adria have been married for nearly twenty years, and they have three children: Abigail, Levi, and Isaiah. They are new to the area and look forward to getting to know the people and the region.
Wayne completed his theological training at New Orleans Baptist Theological Seminary. He has served churches in New Orleans, LA, as well as Tuscaloosa and Butler Counties, Alabama.
Wayne has a hard time picking a favorite verse, because different ones speak to him at different times. The following verse has brought him great comfort:
“For his anger lasts only a moment, but his favor, a lifetime. Weeping may stay overnight, but there is joy in the morning.” Psalm 30:5 (CSB)

Becky Tilley
Music Director
Becky Tilley has been the music director at Emmanuel since 2005. She is bi-vocational and currently is employed by Anthem. She has been married to Adam Tilley for 17 years and they have two sons, Brodie and Aiden.
Becky loves music and the Lord has blessed her with a beautiful singing voice and great talent in directing our Adult Choir. She graduated from Smiths Station High School then obtained an Associate of Science in Music Degree from Chattahoochee Valley Community College.
Her favorite scripture is I John 4:18, “There is no fear in love, but perfect love drives out fear, because fear has to do with punishment. The one who fears is not made perfect in love.”

Joshua Colson
Youth Minister
Joshua started in September of 2023 as youth minister at Emmanuel. He graduated from Smiths Station High School then pursued and obtained a Bachelors Degree in Business Administration and Accounting.
Josh has been married to Jessica for 15 years and they have 2 boys; Jax, 6 years old, and John, 3 years old.
The calling to teach children and help them grow in their love for the Lord started about 8 years ago. My wife and I jointly have this calling and together started teaching young children in 2015. Never did we think we would be called to work with the youth but when God called, we answered. My goal for the youth at EBC is to let Jesus use me to reach the lost, help continue and strengthen relationships with Jesus, supporting and helping the youth grow using their talents God has given them.
Josh’s favorite Scripture verse is Philippians 4:13-“I can do all things through Christ who strengthens me.”

Jessica Colson
Children’s Director
Jessica has served since January of 2023 as Children’s Director. She has been married to Joshua Colson since 2008 and has been blessed with two sons Jax and John.
Jessica graduated high school in 2007 and worked in accounting for many years. Currently she is a stay-at-home mom.
Jessica has a calling to work with children and has enjoyed responding to the Lord’s direction for her life since 2015.
Her favorite Bible verse is Proverbs 3:5-6-“Trust in the Lord with all your heart, and do not rely on your own understanding; think on Him in all your ways, and He will guide you on the right paths.”

Angela has served Emmanuel as part time ministry assistant since January of 2017. She also serves as part time ministry assistant at New Beginning Baptist Church, Phenix City.
