Pastor’s Daily Devotional

We sometimes have said to our children, “because I say so” or “do as I say not as I do.” While that may work with our children for a while, it will not work with other people. The fact of the matter is that if we are not authentic in our words and actions, people will not believe us. They will not follow Jesus just because we want them to. But if we are authentic, if we actually live out what we say, they will be more likely to show an interest in what we say and the Savior we talk about. There is a word for those who are not authentic … hypocrite. We must live what we say or be in danger of being one.
