Pastor’s Daily Devotional

Notice that Joshua did not remove his filthy clothes. We cannot do away with our sin, no matter how much we try. Our sin must be removed by God’s authority. Neither did Joshua put on more of his clean clothes. The Lord said “I will put rich garments on you.” It is His clothes, His garments, His richness, His righteousness. He takes away our sin, cleans us up and gives us His righteousness. Only then can we stand before Him, not with our best but with His best.
